I, Like Alan, have just purchased a deluxe space invaders upright. Mine works, but it has a "scrolling wave" in the monitor while playing the game. Does anyone know where I can get a new controller board for the monitor, or even a new monitor? I think I have the Wells Gardener monitor. We can't find anything to tell me which monitor I have other than it has a Sylvania tube. Can anyone help this firefighter out? Thanks, Joe |

Basically - when you are playing the game - or even when it is on, there is "wave" that runs across the screen near the top. Like the waves in the ocean. I have heard it might be the "hum bar", while others have said it is "dirty electricity" and it might need a cap kit. Here is a photo of the monitor control board: Does anyone recongnize this baord? Do you have a cocktail cabinet? Are you sure it's got the original monitor? That thing doesn't look like either of the B/W monitors I've got for my SID? |

No its an upright. I do know they had two different monitors they put in them, the WG and a Motorolla (i think it was anyway). As far as the monitor being original, not sure. |
