Act Labs Gun calibration
Lilwolf:
pointing in a different direction wont help.
when you turn it on calibration... and the screen blanks white... It then reads everything and it tries to find the ranges it can read. And assumes all the rest fills in nicely.
So you up/down (its trying to find the lowest / highest points it can read). And the same left and right....
Standing in the place you plan to play helps... But twisting the gun wont.
You can open it up and adjust. But it will be off warranty and I'm not sure if you would be able to get it much better. I opened mine to hack it into a real arcade gun... Never finished the job... and put it back together (pissed I did... otherwise it would have been WAY sold on ebay when the prices hit 200)

hey so the act-labs guns can be used in windows like a mouse pointer then?

Yes.
They act just like a mouse.
It's a little tough to hit EXACTLY where you want to with them though.

Yes, the calibration screen and the game screen is the same size. Still no luck. I am going to try it in Windows (maybe on a word doc) to see how accurate it is. Maybe i need to calibrate it inside the game as well...

You don't want to calibrate it in Word.
Just shoot icons on the desktop, and see how accurately it hits them.
Don't "double-shoot" them though, or you'll launch them.
Are you having problems in ALL games, or just a certain one?
