BTW, I recommend replacing the stock nuts with nylon-insert locking nuts - they tend to work loose over time (or you could use a dab of the non-hardening thread-locker on them). Wiring is the same as any other joysticks - see http://spystyle.arcadecontrols.com/index8.htm (use stranded rather than solid wire (unless you are soldering instead of using Quick Disconnects). Also note : It is important to note that the joystick's switches are opposite, when you push up on a joystick the shaft below pushes downward, when you push left on the joystick the shaft below pushes to the right, and so on. Give it a try and you'll see, then wire the switches accordingly. --- Quote ---Also what size hole do I need to drill in my panel for the buttons from groovygamegear - I presume it 28mm diameter?? --- End quote --- Technically, 1-1/8 or 1.125 inches which is slightly more than 28 mm but less than 29 mm. I think there is enough slop in the 1-1/8 hole that 28 mm would be fine. Try it in a piece of scrap wood first to be sure, though. |
