Does it make sense instead stating that a 200MHz PC is fast enough for MAME, a project be started to sort out what games are playable with a minimum PC configuration? That way, if someone wants to play a specific game, they can look to see if their PC is succifient... Just my $.02 Terryd |

In general though ignore all Mame versions newer than .70 if you are running hardware under 1ghz, dropping back to around .55 for a 500mhz or less. |

I ran .63 with a P3 @ 866MHz with 512MB of RAM, and (to my knowledge) I was able to play every game available in that version. |
