Theres nothing from stoping you posting something in the good traders thread if you really want to. And if you need a copy of the transaction theres always Ctrl+P.

It's not a rule of the B/S/T forum, it's a rule of that thread.  Anyone can post free stuff in the B/S/T forum, but the Official Free Items thread is...well...official.

--- Quote ---For example, Flinkly offered a cabinet for free in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum , but wanted me to ship him a piece of it. He asked for references so that he knew he was dealing with an honest person. It's easy to give references when there are threads with people you can point to. This new system destroys all that information.

I wonder, why not ask people to delete all posts in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum when the item is gone? Especially if there's no need for a trail?

You're getting pretty cranky over this.  I've stated how it works.  If you don't agree, well...sorry. Use it, don't use it, it's all the same.

There's no new system.  These rules apply *only* to the free stuff thread.
