Hey All! It's great when you have a long weekend to work on your cabinet! In any case, the wiring is done and I was moving back to the Marquee design. I have two pieces of Plexiglass to use that I was going to sandwich the design to make the marque, but I have no idea how to attach it to the cabinet. I don't see any groves or holes that would lead me to believe that it was mounting in that fashion. Plus, I would like to be able to remove the marque to get to the light (which will be installed later) or the speakers. My question to all of you, is how do normal cabinets connect the marque or some examples that show how it is done... Thanks a bunch -Bren |

Usually, there is a horizontal groove on the top section of the cabinet where the marquee simply presses into. On the bottom, there is usually a bracket which holds the marquee up into this groove. |

The main Happ page seems to be messed up right now, but here's the item page: http://www.happcontrols.com/amusement/acesor/49100000.htm About $1/ft - this stuff gives a nice finished look. Since it comes in 10 foot lengths, I was able to use it for the marquee and for the monitor bezel/glass as well. You can always make your own "frame" of sorts or screw the plexi sandwich right to the cab. Good Luck! |

buy marque retainer from happs...nothing beats that look...you can just use very small scres the screw it to the wood piece then install retainers and that will hide the screws...think again..avoid cheap shot of makin your own..wont look right and I know it. |

Thanks a bunch -Bren --- End quote --- On my bartop I just used 2 L brackets, and put velcro on each of them. Other piece of velcro on the marquee and there you go. To keep the light from leaking, I used some 3/4 inch black window sealing foam adhesive around the perimeter and it works quite will. It is a good 5 dollar idea, but if you are going all out, I would suggest going with some of the other ideas for the best look. |
