Howdy all. I need advice with my first cab, for a Mame setup. I bought this cab as pictured. ( Not bad for my first buy eh..) I already have a PC setup so, my system is ready to install. The tricky bits: I'm looking at a keywiz for the inputs.... straight forward, no probs For audio output, I have a car stereo amp laying around....straight forward, no probs But for video... I'm not sure which direction to go. The cab came with a 33' Monitor..which I've found out to be Pentranic - A80PNT27X - E133019 - dual resolution CRT However there is no chassis. I've been quoted a couple of hundred dollars for a chassis. At the moment my PC has a std VGA card. Do I go down the TV path ( I guess I would need to get a TV Out Video Card) and connect via RCA... fairly straight forward. OR Do I try to get a chassis......If I go this way, I'm not even sure how I connect an Arcade Monitor to a PC ( So I would need Help with advice in this area) I also have no idea if the tube is OK ( I was told it was OK from the the guy I bought it off ) I've been told I can get a cheap chassis to test the tube ( around $40 ) Because there isn't a chassis in the cab at the moment, I don't even know how it connects... So if I get a test chassis how do I test it? Of course I would like to stay with the arcade monitor if possible... but I would be in unfamiliar terrority. I would appreciate any help... Thanks |

Sweet showcase cab. I would get a new 27"(33") arcade monitor for that baby. |

Its worth just getting the chassis but, if you're not familar with the workings of the monitor(like it seems your are) you might want to go with a new monitor. The monitor might not even work with the new chassis, weather its an installer error or it didnt work to begin with. With a new monitor everything is ready to go. |
