No additional board needed Cheers --- End quote --- Where are you seeing that? I thought the info list said that was an option. Analog Joystick with Trigger Handle Rugged construction 5k potentiometers fitted as standard (optical encoder version available) Microswitch reliability tested to 10,000,000 cycles Optional pot. amplifier PC board allows variable output from potentiometer This product is manfactured under a technology license agreement with Atari Games Corporation |

If somebody's thinking of buying that, I've got one I'd let go for $75. It's the older version of the same stick, as seen in Minwah's post here. The only difference between the old onew and the new ones is that the new ones don't have the big white centering mechanism on the bottom. Mine includes the "Pot Amp" board Minwah mentions. I picked up a few of these a while back, and just don't see myself needing all of them. They do feel much, much more "Arcade-ish" than a PC joystick. You aren't left with the feeling that you're using a toy instead of the real thing. |

I thought it was a gold statue of a head kind of like in the opening sequence of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Now I see that it is a Robot (moving to the left). |

On page 310 of my trusty Happs catalog, 95-0392-00 is the PC version (which is $220+, basic is $195). The auctioner C&Pd from the website, but failed to make the distinction. And ... yep ... might need a gameport/USB converter (looking at things, I would)... I stated things rather poorly. Cheers |
