| Rotary Interface Question - Grounding |
| (1/1) |
| Franco:
Ive had my rotary interface (druins) for a while and its about time I got it set up! Ive got a spare +5v supply from a separate ATX PSU in my cab, I presume this is the best way to power it? What do I do grounding wise? Do I ground the interface back to the PSU (one of the black wires) and then also link that ground to my Ipac? Thanks. |

Its always good to use the same ground from where you get the power. There are times where it can be an issue (but the only ones I can think of are when you have more then one power supply... like if you where getting +5 from a plug in converter and the ground from your PC you might get weird results... like having some parts powered to the system when the main power is turned off.) I believe the ground from the ipac is the same as the ground from the PC... but not 100% sure if you can mix / match. So use the ground from the same cable as the +5. You should be fine. |
