This is a used hood, I assume? If so $300 sounds about right for a good job. If it were new it would be somewhat less as there is less prep work involved.

Yeah, used hood. $300 is just too much to spend on a car she's just going to trade in anyway.. Unless she were to get a significant return on it.. which it doesn't seem like will happen.
