Cant find wire smaller than 18awg @ hardware stores
markrvp:
Radioshack is good for Black, Green, & Red wire.

www.therealbobroberts.com has a kit with 20 colors at 10' lengths each for $12? IIRC. It is stranded 22ga - 10 solids, 10 stripes and "should" wire 2 CPs. He also has .187 QDs and lots of other great stuff!
I used speaker wire (clear) for my grounds and that left 20 distinct colors for my CP.

That's not true.
Cat5 uses 26AWG
Cat5E uses 24AWG
Cat6 uses 23AWG

I am shocked that out local hardware stores
(Home Depot and Menards) dont have anything smaller
than 18awg...

I was shocked too when I was looking. Wound up buying speaker wire at Sears Hardware. Think it was something like 5 cents a foot.
