Bones:

Yesterday I applied two coats of undercoat over the top of my previously sanded and primed white surface. The undercoat is basically white with a black tint added to produce a grey finish. This was necessary in order to obtain the final colour I have chosen for my cab.

It was later explained to me that the original MDF sealer I used could have had the black tint added which would have reduced much of the previous work and help keep cost down.

At first I was a little pissed about not realising this but considering the problems I had along the way with the putty expanding, the amount of work and paint used would not have changed anyway.

The cab photo pretty much looks white not grey so I have included my paint stirrer which is in fact white and the difference can easily be seen.

Bones:

My colour of choice is called Jack-O-Lantern and is identified by the Wattyl colour code 19A-1A. It is not orange like a piece of fruit but has a more

Elfman:

Damn, that almost looks Photoshoped.

Looks good though!

I suppose I will take that as a compliment!

I have worked incredibly hard in the painting department and invested much more time than I thought it would initially require so I am optimistic for good results....

tommy:

NO. you're not going orange are you? Grey or blue would be good.
