Cheapest + Easiest way to mame a cocktail cab.

Hey guys I have a friends relative who want me to do take their old non working cocktail cab a mame it.  They aren't hardcore arcade fans or anything so if they had something like 20-30 games to play on it they would be happy.  I would like to use the monitor that is already in the cab.  What would be the easiest and cheapest way to mame this thing?

Also I remember seeing something like a 13 in 1 board around that had a bunch of classic games all on one arcade pcb.  Did I just dream this up or is there such a thing?

Yes there is such a thing..... I don't have a link handy.  But I think they are like $400 bux tho.

If it is a 13" cabinet the cheapest and easiest way is to juice out that original monitor, wiring, and board (ebay them), and decase a 15" PC monitor and put it where the old one was (the tube will darn near match the original mounting holes). Add a $20 surplus computer and the cheapest encoder you can find and you will be able to finish the whole thing for free (the monitor, harness and board should bring you enough to buy the $10 monitor, $20 encoder, and $20 computer that you will need).

If the monitor works....

It might be cheaper to get an old ATI video card + old system and go with dos / advancemame / advancemenu also.

I haven't done the setup myself, but I hear its not as easy as other solutions.

But for the price of a hacked video cable.  8year old video card and 5 year old computer... your pretty much there.... Minus the 10 hours to set it up :)

He said cheap and EASY.  unfortunately in this situation you can't have both.  That's the cheap route, the easy route is AVGA and JPAC.
