i use the 1234 456 method, and the only problem i have is new users. i suggest this method due to it's simplicity and relative common sense. |

i went the overkill route and have this setup for p1 and p2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 takes configuring for most fighting games that use 6 buttons but also always me to use a neo geo setup and allows for all of the buttons of apsx controller for when i use ePSXe |
