My young apprentice.
2600:
May I be the first to compliment you Bones. Not only are you helping this young kid, but you are teaching him to teach himself. And not only will he learn, but making him make the decisions of what he wants for his needs.
Great job, A lot of new members here should learn from this.

Turnip is an excellent word to start with. I have decided to start my threads with beetroot. One thing I miss about Australia is ordering beetroot on my burgers, I don't know why the rest of the world hasn't caught on. I think even McDolands had a burger with beetroot on it! Genius!
Back on topic; I have read your post and it makes me wonder what 14 year olds think of arcade games these days. It's cool that he's into it, but do kids play the 'boring old arcade games' anymore, it seems like modern arcades only have Dance Dance Revolution and the like.
Bones:
I will tell you what......
Tomorrow when I see him I will ask him that very thing while his mind is still fresh and not BYOAC mindwashed on the simple concepts. It is an interesting question.
His dad is old school turnip remembers the era very well. I would put down money that his dad is just as eager as the son!

Careful, that was the same mistake that Obi Wan made with Annikin.
