jamma fingerboard question
kenzo42:
1) why are the pinouts for the +5vdc have 6 pinouts? to clarify, right below where the fingerboard says +5vdc, there are an additional 2 pinouts, for a total of 6. same thing for the +12vdc for a total of 4.
2) i'm planning out placing a load on this +5v and +12v. could i place the resistor between pinouts 3 and 1? or C and A (5v)?
6 and 2 or F and B (12v)?
thanks.

The JAMMA harness has multiple +5 and +12 wires both for redundant backup reasons, and because a lot of games pull more juice than you can send across one wire.
When you don't have enough wires for your power then you get games like Pole Position that burn up the edge connector.

What for? Just for testing purposes? Then yes, this will give you a load.

my monitor is jacked through the psu. i'm not using a pcb. i can't unplug the psu b/c then my monitor and its controls won't work anymore. the psu needs a load.
