Hey y'all, looks like the pope might be about to die

I look at it this way... the Catholic church has had so many horrific episodes in its history, this is just one more.  They are smart enough and long sighted enough to know that in 40 years no one will remember this and they will still exist.  There are advantages to being 2000 years old when the average person only lives to be 65 or so.

How many people remember all of the people murdered under the cross?  How many people remember when they CHARGED people for forgiveness?

Very, very few, and few will remember this in 100 years.

You are forgetting the pact that Bush made with the Catholic Church, the next pope will be from the USA.

Seriously, I think he'll be Italian.  The church needs to regroup.

So who knows enough about this to start a Pope Poll, with a real list of replacements for the Pol Pole?
