| Digital Gas Pedal or Analog? |

| Lilwolf:
I just got two gas pedals on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6162635572&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 I was 90% sure they where digital... but the price was right and I wanted two gas pedals. Well they got here and then I realized that they ARE digital. The delema.. I have a single pole position analog. But I have two 360 steering wheels (that are just sitting waiting to go on a control panel). But 95% of the time I'm pressing all the way down on the gas pedal. What do people think. Should I use the two digitals? Should I look longer for another pole positions? what do you think? |

I guess in games where there wasn't really any drift simulation, you'd be ok. I personally like analog for tight corners, but you can always tap a digital pedal intermittently (kind of the reverse of ABS braking) to get the same effect in certain games. I guess it depends on what games you'll be playing the most. |

huh? |

Its simple really. Digital is either on or off. 0% or 100%. There is no in between. With analog you can get the middle ones. 42%, 94% 33% whatever. |

I usually use the analog AS a digital most of the time anyway. I will tend to pump the pedal, rather than easing off, for most games. The only game I can think of where an analog pedal is a must is SpyHunter. Full speed is too fast on that one. I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of any at the moment. |
