What's Jungle Hunt worth? MAME it?

I would replace the overlay, rewire the machine as jamma, repair the board and monitor if needed and then put the original board back in with an adaptor.

That way it is still a dedicated Jungle King, but you can stick other boards in there if you get tired of Jungle King.

I'd keep the sideart as is.... I have that exact same taito cabinet but the last guy to convert it painted the whole thing over in black. :'( I've scratched the paint off near one of the corners and you can see still see the green... I wish my cab looked like that, though  ;D

There was a Jungle King at the KC superauction... I wanted it and bid it up to $95, but someone wanted it more. I would want to leave it dedicated. Maybe you could buy it, fix it, and sell for a profit, thus allowing the purchase of a converted 25" cab with jamma components. Or something like that.

Oh, and where was this thing located ??? ;)

That is way to nice to mame it.Please consider restoring it if you do buy it.If you do mame it ,please consider keeping it original and maybe just playing classic games on it.

And if a Mame cabinet is what you really want and you live ANYWHERE that they have auctions then simply get the Jungle King and haul it up to the auction the day before when all the vendors are lined up waiting to put their games in the auction.

Then just start talking to the guys waiting to unload their games, you can almost certainly trade it to one of them for a fighter cabinet right then and there.

That also goes for conversion games, you can usually strike up some decent deals in the parking lot, as most of the sellers would rather just get a $100 bill right then and there for their 19" conversion game and not have to put it in the auction and end up with $80 after fees.
