neo geo repair

mammoth:
have an original 4 slot neo geo which comes up with video errror 55555 -exact phrase i will find out soon as i sent board to a guy in reno,nv who said he could repair it - months later he now says processor is bad and can not be repaired at a resonable price - any thoughts or sugestions. It,s the original  mvs system.
