Do I need 2 cabinets
bowza:
Just been surfing ebay fir jamma pcb's, and saw some displayed sideways on the monitor,
ie highscore etc on the left hand side rather than the top.
If I have a none rotatable monitor, I will need a new cab for verticle games.
As my current one is mounted horizontal.
I dont want to build a mame system yet, that will be project 3
Or am I missing something, all the search finds is how mame rotates or other emu front ends
thanks
Bowza

You won' t need another monitor to play Vert games... :D

...unless you want them full screen
i really really REALLY like vertical games and was planning to construct a cab with rotatable monitor (like krawdaddy's GOLD MINE) but now I am leaning toward having two separate cabinets instead
advantages are that more people can play games at the same time and i won't have to deal with degaussing problems as much
disadvantages are less floor space and more $$$

More machines are USUALLY better--at least until you end up like Paige did.
When you reach the point where you have a Gorf in the bathtub, are serving dinner parties on a line of cocktails, can't cook dinner because the bartop's on the stove, have to sit in your Night Driver cab to watch TV because you sold the couch to make room for the cab, etc... you MAY have a few too many cabs.

well, your talkig about actual arcade pcb's, right? if your making a cab to run actual arcade pcb's like they were supposed to, then you will need two cabs to run vertical and horizontal games. on top of that, you'll need alot of different controls panels...if i'm right in assuming your trying to run alot of pcb's in one cab.
