Does this cab look familiar? hehe...

My wife & I went to Jefferson, TX for our 5 yr anniversary... We stayed in a great little B&B right next to the historic disctrict.

Anyhow, this place is littered with antique shops... While we were walking by one bulding that had a "For Lease" sign in the window, I happened to look in & see this.

I about freaked out, & my wife was trying to figure out what the big deal was.

Anyhow, I didn't have a truck or any means of transporting the thing, so I didn't even think to inquire about it's availability.  But it was nice to see one in that great condition (art-wise)

Crazy Cooter:
I would have carried it on my back if I had too...

paigeoliver:
They sawed it in half.

I thought they could disassemble...  ???(I know the bottom is probably 1 piece, but it could come out too)

oh well... It's still got nice artwork! heh. ::)

From a site about DOT:
"The cabinet is HUGE and very hard to move. Because of this, operators often cut them in half, removing the rear artwork section. Finding them intact and working is getting harder and harder, and their value is increasing because of this."
