Hantarex Polo 27" help needed

I decided to have another go at this so i recapped it and dropped in a new flyback. The good news is I get a picture, the bad news is it looks like this :
Basically for the first few seconds (maybe 5) I get the first image--bright with scanlines and no adjustments have any effect, then it goes to the next pic with a snap sound and it stays like this until you unplug it and plug it back in. Any ideas?

It could be that your monitor's B+ voltage is too high causing it to output too high of a high voltage to the tube. Do you have a picture tube rejuvenator (restorer/analyzer) handy? If so I think you might a have short in the tube that the rejuvenator would definitely be able to cure.

Yeah I checked the voltage at TP6 and she reads 138VDC for pic1 one but drops to 126VDC for pic 2--so there's definitley something going on there--guess i'll break down and get me a rejuvenator--figure it's going to cost me at least 50-100$ to get it done, might as well put that towards a rejuvenator.

Would a rejuvenator help in the case where I get no continuity between any of the neck pins except 9,10 (heater)

There should not be any continuity between any of the pins except the filament (heater) pins 9 and 10.
If you're looking for a short with just a multimeter you may not find it. Sometimes a short/leakage inside a picture tube only occurs during actual load/operating conditions which of course a rejuvenator would pickup and most of the time would correct.
