| Where can I get 40 & 20 tooth gears in UK? |

| BazookaJo:
In the process of building my own SW yoke, and am wanting to use the 40 and 20 tooth gear method for the y control as described on Menace's yoke tutorial. Had good look on the web and I can't find any on UK sites ( >:(typical). Anyone know where I can get them and what exactly I need (not even sure what actual size they are)? Many thanks in advance. Joe. |

Have you tried a hobby shop? Check out some of the radio control car gears. There is quite a selection of them out there and you may be able to find the right combo of gears to get the ratio you need. You should have no problem finding a 20 tooth pinion gear and 40 tooth spur gear. |

Yes, I would try an RC Hobby shop first. http://www.rchobby.co.uk/ Otherwise you could try someplace like this http://www.smallparts.com/products/descriptions/gd.cfm |

You could try maplins http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=11945&TabID=1&source=15&WorldID=&doy=15m3 If that doesnt work these are the product codes WC81C - spur gear set WC78K - gear set They are made by a manufacturer called mfa comodrills who look like they only sell in packs of ten (under accessories) http://www.mfacomodrills.com/price_lists.html Dont know how good they are they as i havent gotten to that stage yet just still building my controller |

If you can't find anyone, Jameco ships international - that's where I got mine. You'll probably get killed on the shipping though. Good luck with the yoke, I am building the same one from the same plans! I just assembled everything I need to build it, and have started cutting the wood. Keep us posted on your progress, I would like to see how you make out.
