Hey gang! Okay so I've finished redoing my control panel last night, and the last thing I needed to do was the spinner. I've built a homebrew spinner using a hard drive bearing, and an old microsoft mouse and it works pretty well I'd say. My question is - is it worth getting a 'good' spinner from Oscar and will I notice a huge difference (and is it worth the extra money). Just thought I'd ask the experts :) Cheers! Mike |

I don't think you can get one spinner that works great for all games. |

It depends on what other items you have on your system. I love my Oscar spinner. And I think its pretty good with everything. And perfect for games I like (tempest, ect).... One thing you might consider doing. Trying to sell it on the B/S/Trade board. ( :) ) . You might find someone willing to buy it for a chunk to a new one... And it makes it worth your time. Is your cabinet missing anything else that you might want to consider before upgrading? |

As far as an Oscar...the spinners are great. There are differences among spinners though that can impact gameplay. Maybe it is time for a spinner with a quick change from free spinning to gear drive.... --- Quote from: rdagger on March 09, 2005, 12:10:15 pm ---I don't think you can get one spinner that works great for all games. --- End quote --- |
