He meant, if you are going to laminate the pieces that go between the sides (i.e. the coin door panel) then do that before you screw the sides on.

That way you can laminate them a little oversized, and then trim the laminate for a finished look.
THEN screw the sides to those pieces, and fill the screw holes.
Then laminate the sides.

You can laminate, and trim, the sides of the cabinet with it assembled.
You can't laminate the cross pieces once it's assembled though.
PokerMan:
I see a lot of guys building  UA II cab.

I built a UAII Also.

Word of advice: Make the CP Detachable.

Also, I made the entire top portion detachable  It's attached to the bottom by 6 bolts (3 on each side in a triangular pattern.) The bolts are sunk, and the heads painted black to hide them).  INFINITELY easier when you have to move. (I've moved 5 times this year!!!) (by myself, into another house, in with my girlfriend, into her mother's house when her mother passed)  now we finally bought a large condo (1250sqft) with a finished basement (not lincluded in the sq footage).

It makes it much easier to move it and take it with you.  I think i'm going to be buried in it when I die.

You actually laminate all of the pieces you have cut with the exception of the 4 large pieces. Also, the mitered pieces need to be laminated befor you cut the angle out of them.
