Any experience with roommates.com or is there a better website for that?

Believe it or not, I actually used that site to find my previous roommate. Probably the best guy I ever met. We shared an apartment for about a year, then I got stationed in Europe. If I hadnt gotten orders, we'd probably still be living in the same place.
We became best friends, but I guess its all a crap shoot. My suggestion is to wait about a week after you find someone interested. Interview the potentials, go to their work, see how they live, and then make your determiniation. You dont want someone who's to different, and you dont want someone that's exactly like you.

I already sent him a response saying that I don't rent rooms to Nigerians.

Great ::) Now watch the guy use the legal system to steal from you for racist renting practices....although he'll have to reel some other sucker in to pay for his plane ticket to show up for court ;D
