This is a known problem. I used to have my mouse plugged into a USB port, and I had the same problem with the LED in it staying lit. The solution is to get one of those little USB to PS/2 adapters and use that. The PS2 port does NOT stay powered. |

2600 is correct. most newer motherboards either have the USB standby power as an option in the BIOS or as a jumper on the motherboard (I think this is more common). Post the motherboard model number and we'll try to help |

Did you guys buy a ready built USB LED or build it yourself? I read that it's as simple as splitting off the 5v and ground and hooking both up to a 5volt led (with the correct polarity obviously) Do you guys see any potential problems with this? Thx! Jake |
