Do All NeoGeo Fit In Any NeoGeo Slots

I recently bought a neogeo arcade machine with a 1 slot motherboard and i bought samuri showdown from someone else and it just snaped right on when i removed the game that the arcade cab came with it runs great. But, then ive bought some more carts from somebody else and none of them seem to work in my 1 slot neogeo board the were MVS carts and i figured they should have worked am i wrong or are this mvs carts different types.

All MVS carts are the same.  Is it possible that you have AES carts?  AES is the Neo-Geo home console.

or maybe the cart you got are BAD to begin with.

All Neo Geo MVS carts are created equal. What I mean by that is that you aren't bound to certain BIOS versions to play certain MVS games. There also isnt a region problem, so you can play JAPANESE produced carts on US boards and vice versa.

They fit but they don't work? Sounds like someone sold you a bunch of dead carts. Have you cleaned the contacts yet?
