Hey everyone, i checked through the threads and first off i think it's an awesome idea to work on a real arcade light gun. The arcade community is really in need of somethin here. My question is, does anyone have any recommendations on a good tv usb light gun now that act labs does not sell one anymore? I can't seem to find any info on one other than that act-labs one. Thanks in advance. |

Well, I guess its official... expenct $200 per gun on ebay in a week. no, there aren't any other good solutions. There are a few companies who might have something out in the next year... (one that looks really good)... But only time will tell. Also, there is a thread here about building our own from the community. |

there is a certain irony with the tv light gun availability. The pc version was more sought after and due to this, there was an increased supply. The TV version was in less of demand and supply was pretty sparce at best. The problem is that there are alternatives (though substandard) to the pc light gun. Unfortunately, the act labs guns were the only game in town when it came to tv light guns. Expect the tv guns in time to exceed the cost of pc guns. |

OK... Act-Labs still sell the TV version of their Light Guns. Go to www.act-labs.com to purchase a TV one. They discontinued the PC version... which now sell for $150+ Ya I just checked that too... Damm... I have 2 that I've never used... $500 for the pair sounds good... Let me know :D |

No, their page says that you can still buy the gun, but click on the Buy Now button and you get... --- Quote ---** You have a DISCONTINUED item in your cart ** DISCONTINUED items are no longer available from ACT LABS. To ensure speedy processing and delivery of your order, we recommend that you remove this item from your cart. --- End quote --- They are very slow to change their site. The same thing went on for about a month with the PC version. |
