He didn't do what the cops said. He was refusing the direct order of a policeman.
He may have went off and hit them or whatever. If you are a cop, you don't get hurt, the other guy gets hurt.
Besides, it wasn't established that this person paid for the salad. Was he also a thief?
If he didn't go outside willingly, I bet he was wrong. He thought the cops would back off, and his gamble was lost.
Now, if he did play for the salad, that's another story, but not much of one. He could have produced a reciept and all would have been well.
This guy was being an ass and was treated like one.

The police should have just ask the guy if he paid for the salad or not. The guy probably thought he did and when he looks at the receipt, he did not, then ask him to pay for it, end of story.
This really got way out of control, for what...a FREAKING SALAD.
The guy probably got ROB for the price he paid for whatever he bought and not mentioning the $$$ his kids put into those machines.
The manager should have handled it by himslef, unless he is a CHICKEN....He could just ask the man if he paid for the salad or not.
And if the guy did not and acted rudely, then he tells him to leave or i'll call the police. End of story.
All this for a FREAKING GRASS.....BAD MANAGEMENT I say...
Maybe the guy though he paid for the salad, and probably willingly to apy for it once he realize he did not.

Um...did you read your own words? Mebbe he DID do what you suggested, and the end result was....um....I think you see where I'm going with this now. :police:
