SlikStik Christian,

Do the Multi Color Cycling joysticks cycle by themselves or do they need a driver board to cycle? Because I wanted to use a driver board to be able change the colors of each balltop to a different constant color according to what game I was playing. Like when I open up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles blue, orange, purple, and red ball tops and buttons would be lit. Is this possible with the Multi Color Cycling joysticks?

Now I think changing the stick color to match the game would really rock!!

g1275,

The multi-colored handles morph on their own, no driver board needed. It cannot be controlled. There is a led that will allow you to select colors but they are way too big in physical size for the application we use them for.

SlikStik Christian, could I make a suggestion?

You might want to think about making some sort of lighted mounting plate. Picture a 3"x6" plastic rectangular plate with 6 button holes. It would be white plastic and lighted by inserting LED's using Knievel's method (if you're not familiar I could elaborate). It would be held in place underneath the control panel by the buttons when they're screwed in.

It would provide a plug-and-play lighting method for buttons for anyone willing to use a Street Fighter layout (75% of all users), it would be cheaper than trying to develop individually lighted buttons, and would mean the user only has to wire up one thing instead of 12 or more.

This would give you the ability to offer customers a way to light their buttons so that they match your sticks. It would also give you a way to quickly offer lighted buttons on your own control panels.

I'll just ask for a sample of the finished product in exchange for my excellent idea.  ;) (I'm not getting my hopes up over it, though.)
