Dink:
Heh, "not mameworld".  [sarcasm] This is a mature bunch of old farts talking serious arcade controls stuff!  Grow up!  [/sarcasm]

Steal all the quotes you want.  Imitation is the highest form of flattery. :)

Take what you want, this is what I have so far:

Howard_Casto 2002 quotes:

"Also lamers and wanna be's can sometimes end up buying/rigging a really nice cab, but they are still lamers and wanna-bes. It's all about the attitute and the respect of the process involved, not the end result."

"In my opinion those who don't appreciate the past don't deserve mame, or arcade controls, or even pre-fabbed setups like the slik-stik."

"personally I type gramatically incorrect on purpose, because it makes for an easier read for you guys and a lot less typing for me."

"I'm definatley not arrogant enough to think I know the exact output of every single monitor out there either.  Like some of the plasma screens, although technically a tv, have a horrible picture in terms of authenticity due to the extreme clarity and different display type."

"remember, m$ is kind of like the phone company.  If it weren't for m$ computers wouldn't be in every home and widely available."

"Personally I don't have a problem with the tekken series, but find it bland and generic.  First there are no projectiles, which in my book almost makes it unworthy of the title of a street fighter."
SNAAAKE:

Ya damn right :D...I got the quote from Dink(no idea where he got it from) however I dont give a BLEEEP! about you and your quotes :).
But the "lamer and wanna be" quote was the funniest ever.
Because that makes you sound like you have built like an ultimate cabinet ever and the reason why the quote is so funny because.....well...its your cabinet..(j/k).
Dave_K.:
I think we've all had our cases of "foot in mouth".  But with Howard it either seems to happen much more frequently, or the fact that he admits to being harsh in his responses to other people.  Either way you slice it, its a lot of fun to read and have a laugh over so as not to take these arguments so seriously!

Now if I had a nickel for every time Howard stated "that was taken completely out of context" I'd have been able to buy that Asteroids Mr.Arcade was selling!  ;D
1UP:
Good lord, I can't believe this post is still up!  I thought someone killed it 2 days ago!  :o

Howard, you do tend to talk like you know absolutely everything about everything, then after a few heated exchanges, you'll back off a little and admit that you're not an expert--but that you're still right!  You have even been known, on rare occasions, to make completely off-the-wall statements that are obviously wrong.  (I can provide examples if you don't believe me--remember the Xybots cabinet perchance?)

Maybe if you left some room for error in your statements, or at least presented them as "this is what I know" instead of "this is gospel", you wouldn't come off looking like a (you-know-what) sometimes...  Just because you've been on the emulation scene since the Apple ][ or whatever, doesn't mean you have to alienate the newbies.  ;)

I myself tend to jump in and spew what little knowledge I have at the drop of a hat, but I'll be the first to admit that some of what I know is from second hand info or even just my own theories.  If someone in the know comes in to correct me, I'm more than willing to learn from them and admit that my info was a little off the mark.  We're supposed to be here to help each other, not to have a pi$$ing contest.
