Afterburner cockpit

Whenever somebody talks about an original cab/cockpit, why do people bring up mameing it, i was talking about the original machine , how rare it is ive seen one when i played it many years ago but theres no old cab finds where i live, theres no games to find here id love to walk into a place and see and old cab sitting there , you guys would mame your toilet bowl if givin the chance -tommy :)

Tommy my friend, I think you thought you were in the KLOV forums. You posted this in the BUILD YOUR OWN ARCADE CONTROLS forum. Since many people here MAME arcade cabinets (while the rest build them from scratch), the obvious topic of what to MAME, what not to MAME, is a common topic.
We've also all seen Defender and Pac-Man cabs MAMEd with an X-Arcade control panel, so it's better safe than sorry to give advice about what to MAME and what not to MAME. If not for the benefit of the OP, then for the benefit of members who have been around for less than 3 weeks who might not know any better.

construction would go quick & I'd have SOOO much time to play.

I could hook up custom controls to play a Jedi Knight in a whole new way! hehe...
