Found this.
They do a range of other backlit buttons and also blank white ones that you could easily put your own transfer onto.

Other than that why not just make transfers to cover a standard set?

Those buttons are pretty big afaik.   They look like the "tag buttons" from my "Main Event" cab

Gotcha.  Me either, thats why I inquired about happs doing it, but it turns out to be pretty easy:  Use your laser or inkjet printer to print out your text/graphics.  The button assembly includes a round plastic insert, use this to trace around your text/graphic with a pen. Cut it out with a good pair of scissors.  Just print off a bunch of extras so you're guaranteed to cut out at least one good one.  Assemble it inside the button and viola!

I'd recommend to not try to use a start button.  Every cab I've made with a start button confuses everyone that walks up to it.  And I mean everyone, even myself.   It's best to map start to button 1 on player one.  Or button one on both players.  You will notice that as you run through the menu you automatically smack the first button to start.
There has to be some kind of university experiment out there to prove this.....
