I saw an aucton on eBay for some buttons that I was considerring. I saw it in another topic, but it's getting no response. I wanted to know if X-arcade buttons are in fact any good? |
| cholin:
Come on guys, cant answer this one? There's been like 10 new responses on the board yet not even a view for this? |

The concensus seems to be that the switches on them aren't quite as good as Happs, but that they are pretty good for their price. |
| cholin:
So for non-commercial use, they're good enough, right? |

If you are on a budget, X-arcade buttons and sticks are good, if you are a perfectionist, go with Happs. The most noticable difference is the sound of the microswitches, X-arcade's are rather loud, but it's fine if you have big speakers on your cab. Also note : the X-arcade buttons have a maximum mounting depth of 3/4", so if you are planning on using 1/8" plexi you'll need to build your control panel out of 5/8" material (5/8" + 1/8" = 3/4") Craig |
