Is this cabinet rare?

I wonder if perhaps that is a cab which was damaged, and the owner cut off the top. It is weird to design a cabinet with no marquee...

One thing we've neglected to discuss in these "low-boy" threads is the glare/reflection you can get off the monitor/glass, since you don't have the traditional top part to block out reflections.

I was thinking the exact same thing.  Couldn't be too hard to chop one down and make it look exactly like that.  Or even scratch-build it.

I thought I saw something on RVGAC collecting about a Neo-Geo mini - A rather rare piece. $525 is a normal price for it.
Yeah, a search turned up. That is a legit Neo-Geo mini. Apparently they are highly sought after for their "cuteness" factor. If you bought it, and resold it on ebay, you might make a couple bucks, but nothing substantial. Do a google groups search for
(NeoGeo Mini -Marquees -marquee) and you will find threads talking about it.

if you're looking for a cabinet to mame, you should be able to find a normal upright for cheaper - even with working parts. one option if you do go with this machine is to sell off the 6 slot and the games on ebay and use that money for a j-pac and arcadevga and you're pretty much done.

I dont want to mame it. I already have a cabinet Im using for mame. I would leave this cab the way it is with the six slot neo geo board. Just curious why would I not want to buy it for mame?
