My obnoxious ex-boss is on Apprentice!!!

cdbrown:

Just looking at the pic of him you can tell he's a self absorbed tosser that never quite learned the tie goes under the collar.  UNDER THE COLLAR.  It's not a bloody scarf.

Has anyone checked out his comments of which he has 1

"Dude, you're hot! I hope you win. I love your look, and loved the skin shots on tonight's episode.

Posted by: Queerly Attracted to Danny | January 27, 2005 10:08 PM"

mr.Curmudgeon:

Before the show started last night, I told my girlfriend, "Watch, tonight we'll see Danny completely morph into someone else because of Trump's criticisms". Lo and behold, the snake shed another skin. He will become whatever he thinks you want him to be in order to take advantage of you for his own personal gain, and he'll do so unashamedly. He has no personality otherwise.

Latest dish is that Danny's self-absored quest to make it on the Apprentice led him to neglect his company's biggest client and they may lose them within the next couple of months. This client accounts for 70%+ of his revenue, and without them a lot of people, most who are still my friends, will lose their jobs.

Somebody else pointed me to another ex-employee's "Bash Danny" thread. Click on the above link and enjoy. I can 100% verify everything in the linked post. I don't know if I've met the poster, they are currently anonymous to me, but I agree with their sentiment completely. I don't think I've explained how many creative, ambitious people this loser has taken advantage of in the past. Hopefully some of that is coming back to haunt him.

Related Quotes from the Web:

"In 2000, when the internet consulting company I worked for shut down 50% of their satellite offices, it created a time-space vortex that sucked in all the neon decorations, Aeron chairs, pinball tables, free sodas, and, apparently, Danny. The rest of the dot-com detrius was lost forever, but Danny was inexplicably disgorged onto my TV screen, an artifact of days gone by, to remind me of those pizza- and coffee-fueled late-night sessions in creative futility, and be thankful that it's 2005 and the dot-com boom is over."

...

He's as vain and clueless as the most preened, know-nothing, small-weenied Armani-clad CEO, it just comes out a little differently. If he really wants all that attention, he should just try out for Silicon Valley Players' Hair revival. There's no shame in wanting to be naked, on a stage, with everybody looking at you and going, YAY!...just keep that <auto-censored> out of meetings and the boardroom, asscot.  <-----My favorite Quote!!!

..

PS - I have no idea when he started saying "Unbelievable". My friends
and I conjecture that he is trying to start a catchphrase. We doubt he
will be successful."

mr.Curmudgeon:

"When Danny comforted Verna and being the peppy team guy it reminded me of something he did last year. He had a habit of calling meetings for all different non business hour times, 7 AM or 9:30 PM it made no difference to him, since he lives upstairs in his office/bedroom.

An employee showed up for work and found that there was a meeting happening that had been going on for a couple of hours, she was traveling and hadn't got home to get her messages. Danny gave her grief about being "late" and that was the last straw and she quit, walked right out.

Danny, to his credit, went out after her and talked her into not quitting. Being all nice and in "kiss ass" mode.

A month later she was let go with no warning. How spiteful is that? It's like saying "you cannot quit, we must fire you". I had forgotten that story (there are so many), but that is why I look forward to Danny scenes in the boardroom."

He's done this sort of thing to more than one person.

fredster:

I missed it.  I only caught 1/2 the first episode.

What else has happened?

Not much. My only concern is viewing the downfall of DannyK, so I won't go into the other boring details of the show. He made it through the 2nd episode by completely changing his tune and keeping a lower profile. He's no idiot, he just acts like one when it (polyester) suits him.

I just can't wait to see him fired. :)
