What does it mean that I monitor needs Isolation?

I see that there are Non-Isolation monitors and then there are some that needs Isolation. What does this mean?

Thanks!

that is in the FAQ i believe... the top post.  Some monitors have what is called a "hot-chasis" IIRC if you plug them in directly they will break.  That is what the transformer is for.  If you have a specific monitor model, someone here should know if it needs one.
TheRCGuy:
I could not find it in the FAQ ( that area seems like a mess to find anything ) I have a working cab that needs a 19"CGA monitor in the cabinet it has the plug for the RGB signal for the monitor and it has a 2 prong plug that also goes to the monitor ( I guess this is a power wire, I have no clue)

Do this give you any info that would be helpful in telling me what I need Isolation or non-isolation monitor?

Thanks for any help!
