Boombox for amplifier?
RayB:
Maybe, maybe not. But should be fine if you're using speakers similar to what they use in production arcade cabs (5watt 8 ohm).
hmmm I might work on that part of my cab tonight. I'll let you know what comes of it...

If you REALLY, REALLY want to use a boombox, you can hack into the solder points where the audio from the radio or tape is fed to the amp.

the easiest thing would probably be to use of of those discman car adapter things.. ya know that thing that looks like a tape and a wire with a 1/8" headphone plug.. just plug it into your PC, stick that in the boombox and press play.. thats what I used my boombox for a long time.. so long that the belt inside the tape player wore out and it stopped playing real tapes.. the adapter doesnt care if the tape is turning or not.. and if the stereo has a mechinical pause button try pressing that so it will stop spinning the tape.. with mine you could still here the sound so thats what I did...
