Cap Kit didn't work |

Ok, I just got finished installing the cap kit for my WG K7193. Powered it up and I still have a slight wave.....looks like it is only in the corners, mostly the top! I changed a couple of the output capacitors in my game's power supply (they were the only ones I had laying around). And it didn't help! I will have to get another power supply and test it. I noticed the horizontal position pot on the remote is cracked and it doesn't function. When I turn it there is no movement on the screen until it hits the end and then the screen jumps to one side and then back to center when I turn the pot back. Could this be screwing up the screen? Because sometimes when I touch the remote pad the screen goes hay wire until I tap on the remote board. I just noticed this today..........any thoughts on this? Probably the cause of the whole damn problem! Thanks for any advice/iput/suggestions/criticism.......... Jim |

Tried a different power supply tonight.....no difference! Still have the wave. I also tried moving the isolation transformer further away from the tube. No change. I even added a line filter with no effect. When I power up the monitor the wave is VERY noticeable. But after a few seconds it fades into the usual wave. I am lost........anyone? Anyone?! Thanks, Jim |

Do you have a frame ground attached to your monitor from the game power supply? Later, dabone |

A broken pot can cause problems. Bob Roberts sells a whole kit of the pots for this board. It's on his parts page under Resistors. |

I have the ground from the frame of the monitor going to the green wire on the 3 prong outlet. Should I tie it to the FG (earth ground) on my games power supply? Ken, yep, next trick.....install pots from Bob! Jim |
