--- Quote from: Reaper on January 17, 2005, 12:10:49 pm ---is it a brand new board? - on some AMD boards there is a "P4" power connector seperate to the ATX connector, make sure that is plugged in, also have you tried resetting the cmos? - there should be a jumper on the board to do this (usually, but not allways near the battery) You could also try it with different memory if you can. What processor are you using? --- End quote --- hi dudes, well after ages of faffing around with the board, i took it to my pal who owns a computer shop... and his suggestion its mofo'd o i know its not shorting coz i had mounted it on plasic feet so there was nothing touching the board, i tried clearing the cmos all the ways it said in the booklet (even left it for 5 hours without the battery in, i tested it with another processor (i even tested the 2.8 in my machine at home, worked fine) he said that this board is plauged with the 90 hang problem, told me to take it back to the supplier and get another, just hope they exchange it!! its a 2.8 semprom chip, abit amd mobo btw :D thanks all for trying to help me out, ill post later to say wether they exchanged or not (only had it a week! knew i shouulda tested it as soon as i got it, bah.) |
