Just bought my first arcade cabinet, Gauntlet Legends!
tmasman:
Very nice...
Order yourself the J-PAC & Arcade-VGA & you should be pretty much ready to go! That's exactly what I'm doing with a gutted Street Fighter II ce. I gutted it to replace all of the wiring... It's been hacked up a few times & I wanted to start over with a clean slate. I'm planning on putting a Multi-Jamma board in it so I can play real Arcade boards in it as well (without getting into the cabinet too much ...)
Have you had a chance to look into everything you need/want to do with it?

Say, did you think about measuring the cab and sending it to jakobud, so he can post 'em on his site? That would be nice... :)
IceDigger:
Would a regular 27" tv fit in there?

You paid $600 bucks for it, and you want to throw a TV in it?
And one that doesn't even have Component video, to boot?
Spend PART of the $168 bucks the TV costs, and pick up the ArcadeVGA.
That'll leave you some left over for the controls, PLUS it will let you put it all back in case you ever want to sell the cab.
I can't see spending that kind of money on a cab, and then spending MORE on top of that to make it work WORSE.
And those things had a MARQUEE on them.
I thought I went big, sizing mine at 10" High.
