| One Axis on Trackballs? |

Hey guys- I got IPAC2 hooked up in XP, with Analog+ running. In XP and the Mame interface, my trackballs work the mouse cursor perfectly. When I get into any trackball games, I lose an axis on both TBs... They only work in a diagonal motion, so if I move it up, and goes top/left, and when I move it down it goes bottom/right. Like I said tho- both TBs move the mouse cursor fine in XP. Any ideas? And yes, enable mouse support is turned on in Mame. Thanks! D |

Sounds like you may have both the x and y axis mapped to each axis within mame.... Check the "input" menus within mame to see what is mapped to what. |

ok- so is that in the tab menus? If so, how do I change it to say the right thing? Just spin the TB in the right direction? Thanks bud... D |

I found it- mouse axis menu... Now- the only other problem I'm having is that even tho it's all set right- the P2 TB is acting as the P1 TB- but then, I have to use the P1 buttons on either player. Same thing with the spinners. How do I tell MAME that the P2 spinner and TB are NOT P1 but really P2? Thanks! D |

Don't you need an Opti-Pac if you're gonna connect a trackball up. If got my trackballs hooked up this way with all my other controls going into my I-Pac4. Isn't the I-Pac2 is for microswitch controls like joysticks and buttons? |
