Wico Leaf Joystick Question
«
on:

Just bought some old control panels with buttons and joysticks included. I am in the process of disassembling them to clean 'em up and have run into a problem. There are two Wico leaf joysticks with a rubber diaphraghm attached.
How do I remove the diaphraghm? Are these sticks just so old that the rubber has glued itself to the sticks? Is there a secret?

Yeah, the shafts should slide right out. They most likely are pretty gummed up from the years of use. Spray some silicone on them to loosen them up. DON'T use WD-40 or penatrating oil, as that can break down the rubber in the old grommet.
