| Powering the coin door lights |
| (1/1) |
| Beeeph:
after buying a used but functional coin door w/mechs for $20 on ebay :o, I was confused a bit by the wiring: with this connection, it looks like I can directly hook up two standard molex connectors from my PC power supply. |
| Thenasty:
jsut cut/trace the wires from the bulb (looks like green/blue) and then make sure what voltage those lamps accept and use the PC power supply to hoo it it. RED wire on PC is 5volts and yellow is 12V. |
| terryd:
How do you find out what voltage the bulbs are? Is there an indicator on them? |
| Trimoor:
Try it with 5v, and if that's too dim move up to 12v. |
| Ken Layton:
Take the bulbs out of the socket and look at the numbers on them. Here are typical bulbs and voltages: 159, 259, and 555 are all 6 volts 161, 194, and 658 are all 12 volts. |
