Defender Desktop CP
« on: June 28, 2003, 12:40:32 am »
I finished this today for as a suprise for a friend.  Actually, he was sort of the boss at my job during my most intense BYOAC days.  He'd happily tell me tales of the good ol' Defender/Discs of Tron days (before my time) when I was too sleepy to do any actual work 'cause I was up too late working on some arcade related nonsense.  I was a lot more careful in making this pretty then I have been on any of my own projects.

Features:
------------
Happs buttons
Ebay'd 2way Microswitch joystick (from Joust, I think)
T-Molding
Lexan
CP overlay, printed on paper
USB Keyboard interface from Hot Wheels USB keyboard ($1.99)

You can get the keyboard matrix & my CP overlay on the web page.

Looks great!
Man is he gonna be appreciative.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers what the universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

This is the coolest standalone control panel I have seen! Love Defender/Stargate too, so it's just perfect. Really nice work.
