Jamma/Mame cabinet question
« on: May 19, 2002, 08:46:27 am »
Hello everybody,

I'm trying to build an arcade cabinet from ground up. One of the requirements for me is that it can switch between the use of an arcade pcb (Jamma) and the use of mame via my computer inside the cabinet.
I've ordered a 27" Wells-Gardner D9200 arcade monitor but it may take a few weeks to arrive.
I've also ordered a Tekken PCB (Jamma - standard resolution).
Is there a way to connect (for testing purposes) the Tekken PCB via the Jamma connector to my "regular"  TV (which got a S-Video and a composite video input)?

And another question:
Does anybody here have experiences in making a switch unit where you can connect both the PCB and the computer at the same time and only have to press a button outside of the cabinet? (I can do it via the Jamma connector but then everytime I want to switch I have to go inside my cabinet.)

Thanks in advance.

Joris

Nope, not without a special circuit (around $100).
