Dumb Question- Turning on TBs/Spinners

Pages: << < (3/4) > >>

Tiger-Heli:

You're still in the wrong menu -

The TAB (Inputs - This Game) menu is where you assign keys to the trackball if you didn't have one and wanted to use a joystick or keyboard.  You should be able to change it by pressing enter with the command highlighted, but you don't need to.

You need the TAB (Mouse settings) menu, but I can get it to come up for me either.

What version of Analog Plus?

eyal8r:

From June 18, 2004- version 0.82 of Analog+

Any ideas on this yet?  There has to be SOMEONE out there who is using this and can help...
Thanks!
D

tigerHeli got it right:

--- Quote from: Tiger-Heli on December 15, 2004, 02:00:23 pm ---Wrong menu - although it might not work for me now b/c of Win2k.  Try the following:

Open Command prompt - navigate to MAME directory -  Run MAMEAnalog with the -cc tag.

You will find a file in the emulator directory called <emulatorname>.ini.  Edit it to change the following lines:

### Input device options ###
mouse                   1

### Analog+ options ###
multiplemice            1
switchablemice          0
switchmiceaxes          1
splitmouseaxes          1

Restart MAME play a dual trackball game.  On the main TAB menu, you should see a mouse options setting. . .

For mameAnalog32, you need to edit ini/mame32.ini instead of [emulatorname].ini, but otherwise the same.

Tiger-Heli:

I got it.  Dug through my old E-mails from Rebel and figured it out.

Woot.

Eyal8r,

I assume you are using the MAME 32 version of Analog Plus.

Do what I said, open a command prompt, navigate to the MAME32 folder.

Type "MAME32AnalogXP.exe -cc" and Enter.

Edit the C:\mame32\mame32analogXP.ini file as I said above.

Now the important part, COPY the file above to the C:\MAME32\INI folder.

Now when you start a trackball game, the Tab menu will have an option called "Mouse Axes"  Use this and the arrow keys to assign your mice to the appropriate player.

Woot!  (Did I already say Woot?)
