MAME Help: No Sound
« on: December 12, 2004, 04:46:52 am »
I am running MAME .53 under freedos with a Crystal Labs CT2800 PCI soundcard.
The games run fine, (well, the picture is flipped even though the menus are normal) but there is no sound.

I don't have a frontend yet, I'm telling it to use soundblaster. (all the other modes crash)

I'm sure the card is set up properly, as other games run fine.

Can anyone figure out what's wrong?

No, I will not use window$.  Besides, it's only a P133.  It needs dos.

Thanks!

Are there any errors when the drivers are loaded?  Can you get any other applications to use sound?  Have you declared yourBLASTER parameters correctly in your autoexec.bat?

It gives no errors.  It just starts the game in silence.
Other applications work fine with sound.
As far as I know, the dos config files are set up properly.
